Winning Poker Online Strategy – Stealing Blinds, Freerolls, and Other uncontested Play

At any poker online website you will find a number of different games offered. Often times these games include many different types of tournaments as well, and many of them will reward players with real cash as opposed to just points that can be earned.

One of the most lucrative fields on an online poker website is that of the no limit Texas Holdem game. This is also known as No Limit Texas Holdem or LNL for short. In this game, players have the ability to bet any amount that they have at any time they wish. This allows players to steal blinds, freerolls, and any other type of uncontested play.

How To Steal The Blinds In NL Holdem

There are a number of tools that you can use to help you accomplish this task. However, the best way to do this is to identify which players are not involved in the hand and then make a large bet that will hopefully push everyone off their hand. This is also known as a blind steal.

Apprentice poker players may not be aware of the – coming blind steal. If you are aware of a player’s habits, you can tell if they are stealing the blinds or not. Common things that are known to happen when a player is attempting to steal the blinds are a player will put in a large pre-flop raise, out of position or as a result of their knowing the starting hand of theudedoge.

When you are attempting to steal the blinds you are trying to take advantage of the fact that the other players are delayed in putting in their blinds in accordance with what you perceive is a bad hand. usually a player will feel that they have almost a 50% chance of getting their hand, with the right flop. Having therefore made a sufficient raise, as your X value is greater than your opponent’s Y value, you should go in after the flop.

It is unlikely that you are going to get a call on your raise, however, this is actually pretty favorable for you. The reason being that the players in the blinds will be likely to be players that are more likely to fold in the face of a raise.

Many players do not like raising from the blinds because it gives the player in the big blind more of an advantage than they would with a standard raise. This is not always the desired effect, however, because a player in the big blind might be in a better position to call, especially if a less aggressive player in the blind does not raise first.

It is not unusual to see players raise three times the big blind on this play, regardless of where they are in relation to the button. This action is designed to force other players with marginal hands, out of the hand. Typically, the majority of players with no position at all are going to fold should you raise three times the big blind. Some players with position will call the raise, particularly if they are in the small blind, but that is not advisable in Dewavegas.

Oftentimes you will observe players making a standard raise, regardless of hand strength, rather than a steal. For instance, if you observe a player in late position raising 6x the big blind with a hand like 7s-3s, it is almost impossible to force that player to fold by making a standard raise. When the player in position sees a flop, he is more likely to have an overpair or a set then he is to fold.

Therefore, if you have a made hand, you want to increase the pot size in order to make your opponent fold, thereby decreasing the number of people in the hand that you have an advantage against. Therefore, when you have a good hand, you want to make other players pay to see a flop.

The exception to this rule is when you are in late position and the majority of the players to either bet or call have folded. If you bet into a pot in late position, and 5 or more players have folded, you may choose to bet, but you want to make sure that you are ahead of the betting with your hand. This puts you at a disadvantage if your opponent had been drawing to a better hand.

If you make a simple continuation bet after you receive your money in a pot, you have made your position clear. Then, you can either bet strong when you have made your hand, or you can play passively and let others take the betting.

It is generally not a good idea to make blind steals unless you have a monster hand. When you are playing Texas hold em and a player regularly steals the blinds, then you will have a bigger problem on your hands. Don’t be afraid to make a large bet, it typically takes about a pot-sized bet to steal the blinds from the tight player.
